Information on Scheduling Events

What to expect:

As stated, our goal is to share the Gospel and how our relationship with God the Father through His Son, Jesus, continues to transform us day-to-day.  That being said, we are compelled by the grace of God to be bold in this area.  We love to tell people what God had done and is doing in our lives in the hopes that you will know Him.

Most demonstrations will consist of individuals performing forms or "anyos", executing contact drills with eskrima sticks (known as Sinwallis), and finally empty hand combinations showing how to subdue an opponent.   The movements can be fast.  So far, no one has fallen asleep.

Normally, Sigung Ed will speak and explain what is taking place during these events which can be set up to accommodate most time-frames.

What is required to host an event?

WOR team members typically come prepared ahead of time.  As you can imagine, the events can be demanding on the team members so any non-carbonated drinks, especially water, is greatly appreciated.  If a PA system is available, please let us know.  We also need some space to perform which will be covered by our contact person.

From Our Hearts

None of the WOR team do this as a full-time job.  We are all like you.  We have full-time/part-time jobs, have families, go to school, and go through struggles of prioritizing our time just as you do.  Before any event we practice diligently so that God can use our skills as He wills.  We hope more than anything else that you are blessed more by our hearts for Jesus than what we do with our hands and with sticks.
